
Francesca Schwartz
Francesca Schwartz is an artist and psychoanalyst based in New York. Her artwork is informed by a fascination with the materiality and metaphors of the female body. Schwartz works in a range of mixed media processes encompassing painting, sculpture, photography, and collage, and her diverse materials include paint, inks, dyes, wax, bone, textiles, and found objects. She has had solo exhibitions at Mu Gallery, Chicago, IL, 2022; Studio 1608, Miami, FL, 2018; and online solo shows with Women United Art Movement in 2024 and M. David & Co. Gallery in 2021. Her group exhibitions this year include two group shows at Lichtundfire, NY, “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Orpheus & Eurydice,” and she won the GAS Oil/Acrylic Award for her piece, “Bleed (Out)” at the Greenwich Art Society 108th Annual Juried Exhibition in Greenwich, Ct. In 2024 Francesca showed at “Limbless” at Art Cake, “Dodecahedron” at Lichtundfire Gallery, New York, the 107th Greenwich Art Society Annual Juried Exhibition in Greenwich, CT, “Homage” in Brooklyn, NY and “Feminine Visions” at Landmark Art Space in New York, NY. Art fairs that have featured her work include Works on Paper, 2021; Market, Art and Design, 2021; and The Other Art Fair, 2021. Schwartz’s work has been featured in publications including, ROOM, Women United Art Magazine, and Tussle, and she has completed several residencies at M. David & Co. Gallery in Brooklyn, NY.
